Mental health stories move students

Four hundred Billabong High students gathered recently to hear inspirational and insightful speakers discuss issues of mental health awareness. The students were particularly moved by Daniel and Jo, two successful young men who spoke with sincerity and passion about their own struggles with depression and suicide.

Small things amuse creative minds

The Henty Civic Centre, Community Club and Camera Club joined together to create a varied display at Henty’s 2016 Art, Photography and Quilting Exhibition at the Civic Centre. Exhibits included pottery, photography, oils, acrylic, pen and wash, pastels, patchwork and quilting, reclaimed metal work, paper-mache and collages from local and regional artists.
